The Legislative Assembly, lower chamber of parliament, failed on 14 November to take a decision on current situation in the southern regions. The assembly discussed the issue since 10 November and the two drafts were prepared: to ask the president and the government to deal with the situation and to take into account the report by a special commission on the issue. However, parliamentarians did not support any of the drafts during the voting.
The Osh City court barred on 27 October candidate Usen Sydykov from a run-off election to parliament, set for 3 November, and the CEC postponed the run-off. Supporters of Sydykov held several protest meetings since 27 October saying the court decision was politically motivated. Sydykov took about 46 percent of votes in the first round on 20 October.
