BISHKEK. From next January till March the Defense Ministry will verify the list of male citizens born in 1986. AKIpress reports the prime-minister ordered the registration of men of the conscript age. Special transportation and Interior Ministry officials will be engaged in locating those escaping the registration.
This Monday the Legislative Assembly approved the draft law on general military conscription. According to it, the conscription term will be shortened by six month to one year. Also those unable to serve in the army will be allowed to pay 25,000 Soms (about 530 USD) reimbursement.
