One Uzbek Citizen Is Wounded At the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Border.

BISHKEK. More than 100 Uzbek villagers in Sharhabad in the Sokh district of Uzbekistan, an enclave just within the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, yesterday protested against a nearby Kyrgyzstan border post. They called for removal of the post and for free travel between Uzbekistan and the village. Kyrgyz officials say that one villager was wounded yesterday in an attack on Kyrgyz Border Post Number One in Boz-Adyr.
The dispute is in a portion of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border where work continues on delimitation of the dividing line. Only about 600 km of the 1400 km border have been defined during consultations of the experts of the both sides.
