BISHKEK. The Legislative Assembly (lower chamber) of the Kyrgyz Parliament today finished its discussion on the Government's report on its activities for the first ten months of 2002. The chamber's decision criticizes the Government for its failure in supplying the country with coal, gas, electricity and other economic shortcomings. The Assembly instructed the Government to carry out measures for improvement of the social and economic conditions of the country's population. The Parliament urged the Government to be more severe against those responsible for financial violations.
