BISHKEK. The chairman of the Public Office for Referendum Observation, deputy Omurbek Tekebayev was invited to the Bishkek City Interior Department for questioning. He was interrogated in connection with the criminal case over kidnapping during the recent referendum.
Earlier Tekebayev's deputies at the Public Office, Jypar Jeksheev and Emil Aliyev were questioned. Emil Aliyev told Radio Azattyk that the executive officials are trying to prevent information on referendum irregularities becoming public.
The head of the Bishkek City Interior Department Keneshbek Dujshebayev said that the questioning is not connected with politics.
