BISHKEK/OSH. The Governor of the Osh region in Southern Kyrgyzstan, Naken Kasiev is the leader of the newly registered political party 'Elet' (Village Population). The deputy leader of the party, lawmaker Tashbolot Baltabayev, told journalists today that the party aims to protect interests of countryside residents. The party was officially registered by the Justice Ministry in December of last year.
