BISHKEK/OSH. Planes with the first groups of the Kyrgyz pilgrims who attended the Hajj ceremonies in Saudi Arabia this year, have arrived in Kyrgyzstan. First plane landed in Bishkek’s Manas airport yesterday. The second plane landed in Osh today. A representative of the Kyrgyz mufti (the leader of the Kyrgyz Muslim community) told RFE/RL today that the pilgrims who went to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, by bus, are expected to arrive in Kyrgyzstan on February 25. More than 2,700 Kyrgyz Muslims attended this year’s Hajj ceremonies. Four of them (one woman and three men) died during the Hajj in different circumstances.
