BISHKEK. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister, Askar Aitmatov, has ended his four-day visit to Tehran. According to the press service of the ministry, Aitmatov met with his Iranian counterpart, Kamal Kharrazi, to discuss problems of bilateral relations between the two countries and Iraqi crisis. The sides signed an agreement on deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran. According to some Russian news agencies, Aitmatov backed the Iranian stance on resolving the Iraq crisis by peaceful means, including the Iranian proposal on holding referendum in Iraq over the future political system in the country under the UN aegis.
