BISHKEK. Minister of education and culture, Ishenguel Boljurova, told journalists today that about 5,000 would-be-students will be enrolled by the government grant in accordance with the testing based on the Western experience. Boljurova said that a deadline for the testing is March 31 to April 12. The United States' USAID and ACCELS will give a financial support to the ministry for organization of the testing. The new method is regarded a main tool for fighting corruption in the Kyrgyz universities that used to use the old Soviet system of exams for their entrants.
