BISHKEK. The People's Representative Assembly (upper chamber) of the Kyrgyz parliament discussed the issues related to the external and internal migration today. The first deputy prime minister, Kurmanbek Osmonov, deputy foreign minister, Lidiya Imanalieva, and deputy minister of internal affairs, Abdylda Suranchiev, gave information on the migration issues.
For the time being, about 300,000 Kyrgyz are living in Russia, and about 20,000 Kyrgyz labor migrants are working in Kazakhstan.
