Russian Interior Minister Boris Gryzlov told journalists in Bishkek on 12 November that Russia would help Kyrgyzstan to impose new posts along the Bishkek-Osh highway, a single road wich connects the northern and southern regions of the country via mountainous passes. According to Gryzlov, decision on it was taken by the Russian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Tajik officials last summer to fight drug trafficking.
