Kyrgyz Prime Minister Says On Transportation Obstacles For EEC Countries


BISHKEK. Yesterday, Kyrgyz Prime Minister, Nikolai Tanayev, attended a meeting of the heads of governments of the Eurasian Economic Community (EEC) in Moscow. Tanayev told the meeting that Kyrgyzstan is carrying through closer economic ties with the EEC member-states. However, the existing obstacles in international automobile communications between the EEC countries became one of the major problems in trade and economic relations of the countries, Tanayev said. He backed an idea of establishment of the united energy system and energy market within the EEC. Tanayev also proposed signing an agreement on establishment of the common transportation union with common transportation tariffs and free regime for international automobile transit. The EEC groups Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Belarus. Kyrgyz automobiles and trains cross Kazakhstan in order to reach Eastern Europe and Siberia.
