BISHKEK. In a letter to the Constitutional Court of Kyrgyzstan, the political council of Ar-Namys (Dignity) Party asked to speed up consideration of the appeal by the party's jailed chairman Felix Kulov. The appeal was lodged several months ago. A similar request was sent today to Ombudsman Bakir uulu. Kulov has appealed to overturn the verdict of the Bishkek Garrison Court in January 2001 to imprison him for seven years.
Member of the Constitutional Court Asylbek Kenensariyev told our correspondent that Kulovs' appeal may be considered only after other proceedings against Kulov are finalized.
