BELARUS PRESIDENT TO KYRGYZSTAN INSTEAD OF PRAGUE.


Erkin Momunkulov of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry told RFE/RL correspondent in Bishkek on 14 November that President Aleksander Lukashenka of Belarus plans visiting Kyrgyzstan on 20-22 November. According to Momunkulov, Lukashenka would meet President Askar Akayev, Prime Minister Nikolai Tanaev and speakers of the two parliamentary chambers, discussing wide range of items on bilateral relations between the two countries.

Together with the Lukashenka's visit to Kyrgyzstan, the Days of Belarus Culture would also be held in Kyrgyzstan and the prominent Pesnyary rock-group would arrive in Bishkek. Lukashenka planned before attending the NATO summit to be held in Prague on 21-22 November but Czech authorities refused giving him Czech visa.
