BISHKEK. National Statistics Committee today announced the results of the economic development research for 2002. The GDP of Kyrgyzstan valued as 75,094,600,000 soms. It was 0.6 percent less than in the previous year. 50 billion soms of them belong to the agricultural output. Inflation in 2002 was at the 2.1 percent level, which is outstanding in the region. However, some experts say that such a hard position of the Kyrgyz national currency does not create good conditions for the local enterprises in their export.
Import level (532,000,000 US$) in 2002 was higher than export (438,300,000 US$).
