BISHKEK. The state-owned ‘Uchkun’ Printing House refused to publish a new copy of an independent newspaper ‘Kyrgyz ordo’. The chief editor of the newspaper, Beken Nazaraliev told RFERL today that yesterday representatives of a court came to his office to record all the properties of the newspaper. The Birinchi May district court of Bishkek passed a verdict on closing the newspaper after a plaintiff, deputy chairman of the Kyrgyz Custom Inspection, Aidarbek Duishaliev filed a writ against the newspaper for insult. The district court is to give a text of the verdict on January 17, then the editorial board of the newspaper will appeal to the Bishkek city court to overturn the decision, said Nazaraliev.
