BISHKEK. The National Democratic Institute based in USA issued a statement which evaluates several points of the version of the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan. According to the Bishkek mission of NDI, for the sake of democratic process, parliament should possess right to hold non-confidence vote over prime-minister and remove her/him from the office. The statement calls to clarify and simplify the clauses on parliament's impeachment of president, and election of heads of local administrations, to hand some functions of the prosecution over to courts, and to limit parliament's power on firing Ombudsman.
