BISHKEK. The U.S. Ambassador to Bishkek, John O'Keefe, told RFE/RL today that the issue of an immediate end to the war is up to the Iraq President, Saddam Hussein, who is to leave the country together with his family and close advisors. The Ambassador also said he is concerned, as he put it, that the Kyrgyz citizens have been receiving one-sided information on the war. O'Keefe said that Kyrgyzstan's official stance on the war will not have any negative impact on further development of the Kyrgyz-American friendly relations.
