Bishkek (Apr 15). Ombudsmen of Central Asian and Eastern European countries are considering organizing a regional association. Kyrgyz Ombudsman, Tursunbai Bakir-Uulu, and Polish Deputy Ombudsman, Jerzy Swiatkiewicz told journalists today that this idea was supported by ombudsmen from ten post-communist countries. They participated at the round table discussion held in the resort city Cholponata on April 11-12, this year. The decision on establishment of the association will be made at a forthcoming meeting of the ombudsmen in Baku, Azerbaijan, in November, this year.
