Prime Minister Reports To Parliament On Ten-Months' Output.


BISHKEK. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Nikolai Tanayev today reported to the Legislative Assembly (lower chamber) of Parliament on the Government activities during the ten months of 2002. According to the Prime Minister, Kyrgyzstan has maintained its macroeconomic stability. During the ten months the Government paid 6.3 million dollars for external debt, and about 23.5 million dollars for internal debt. Foreign trade increased by 13.8 percent in comparison with the last year. However, export decreased by 1.6 percent for the same period. The Legislative Assembly will resume debates on the Government report on Friday.
