President Askar Akayev To Participate in International Conference In Almaty

BISHKEK. Kyrgyz President, Askar Akayev will attend an international conference entitled 'For Peace and Concord'. The conference organized through the initiative of the Kazakh President, Nursultan Nazarbaev, will be held in Almaty. It is expected that the conference will adopt a Joint Charter urging other nations towards peace and understanding. Among the attendees will be official delegations from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkey and other countries. President Akayev will hold bilateral meetings with some state leaders and top government officials during the conference.
